Fast & Furious fans have been hearing “one last ride” one too many times but it’s now officially announced to be ending!

After nearly two decades, Universal Pictures has officially announced that the main Fast & Furious franchise is coming to a close with F10 being the last title that will be split into two parts!

The tenth and eleventh instalment to the movie franchise will reportedly be directed by director Justin Lin that’s currently in talks to direct the two final films.

But for fans that are sad about the end of the main franchise, this is not the end of the franchise as a whole! With an untitled all-female-spinoff coming and a sequel to Hobbs and Shaw being developed, fans can expect more from the FF universe!

“We are having conversations, we were so happy with how it did,” Hobbs & Shaw producer Hiram Garcia previously said. “The studio was extremely happy and there’s been a lot of great conversations just about seeing where things lay out. Obviously [Fast & Furious 9] is on its way. That’s going to do great things. Taking some bits from that, cause it’s all a shared universe and it’s all in the works.”

With the delayed F9 movie that has confirmed that it will be taking its characters to space, it’s exciting to see how the final two film instalments will take it to an even higher level!

Fans previously joke that the franchise will never come to an end when Vin Diesel announced that the tenth movie will split into two parts, with many coming up with new titles for franchise’s “future movies”.

It’s definitely sad to see the franchise coming to an end, especially after being invested in the characters’ stories over the years, but many agreed that it’s time for Dominic Toretto’s story to end.

Season two of the animated spinoff series called the Fast & Furious Spy Racers was also recently released starring Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey as the main character Tony Toretto, cousin to Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto.

Fans are also waiting for the highly-anticipated video game that’s inspired by the main movie franchise!
