Forrest Gump is a classic movie released in 1994 that won multiple Oscar awards and now the film is getting a Bollywood remake!
The remake will be called Laal Singh Chaddha and will follow the story of Laal, a simple Sikh man who has an uncanny ability to be present at history-changing events!
Actor Aamir Khan has been cast to play the lead role while Kareena Kapoor is likely to play the Jenny character from the original.
Famous for its quotes, the 1994 movie follows the story of Forrest Gump, a man with a low IQ but full of wisdom, and how his life leads him into all kinds of adventures and how he inspires people wherever he goes.
Tom Hanks starred as Forrest Gump in the original movie that was adapted from the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom.
The remake will be co-produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions and is set for a December 2020 release!
