Warning! Spoilers ahead! If you haven't seen Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald yet, you might want to look away now…
For those of you who have watched the second film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, you may have had some questions. Well, many questions. Although we can't answer every single question or theory, JK Rowling can answer at least one.
One of the biggest question that has been going around since the release of the first Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald trailer is, how is Credence Barebone still alive?

Many fans were expecting that question to be answered in the second film, however, it never was.
Going back to the first movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, you'll remember that Credence turned into his Obscurus form at the end of the movie and was seemingly killed. However, as we saw in the second movie, he was clearly alive.

According to the movie companion book, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald: Movie Magic, Credence simply did not die like we thought.
The book reads, "You could with justice have believed that Credence had been killed at the end of the first film. But, in fact, as Newt knows, you can't kill an Obscurial when they're in their Obscurus form. You can shatter the Obscurus temporarily, but the person hasn't died.

Now, let's get into a bigger question from the end of the second film. Once again, for those of you who haven't watched it yet, we highly recommend that you read any further. To those of you who have, carry on.

The big reveal at the end of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald left fans scratching their heads. How is Credence related to Albus Dumbledore?!
We may not be able to get an answer in this movie, but Ezra Miller, who plays Credence, says that it will be explained. Eventually.
"[JK Rowling] knows the mythology so well and I think she's into confounding you for a moment and having a fan go, 'Wait that can't make sense!' and then showing you how things you thought couldn't make sense, make sense," the actor said.
"I think she enjoys people not getting it for a second. She's done it to us a bunch of times," he added.
