If magic were real, we’d accio the third installment of Fantastic Beasts here, now. Unfortunately, for witches, wizards and muggles alike, we’ll be waiting a lot longer.
The production of Fantastic Beasts 3 has encountered some major delays. Production was supposed to begin between June and September of this year but sadly, that’s not happening.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros has run into some trouble during the pre-production process. No word on what that trouble is though. Due to this problem and to avoid rushing the movie, the decision has been made to push the start date.
The cast have also reportedly been told to readjust their work schedules to suit the new schedule that’s set to begin somewhere later in the year. However, it is not clear yet if the change in schedule will affect the proposed 2020 release date of Fantastic Beasts 3.

As to who from the cast are returning for the third movie, no firm announcements have been made as of yet. But it’s safe to assume that Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law will be back to assume their roles as Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore.
J.K. Rowling has promised that “answers are given” to all the questions we had after watching that shocking revelation at the end of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
We might have to wait a little longer for Fantastic Beasts 3, but we’re sure the wait will be totally worth it.
