With Joker on its way to becoming the biggest R-rated movie of all time (Sorry, Deadpool), everyone seems to love Joaquin Phoenix’s work as the tortured and failed comedian, Arthur Fleck.

While the world is raving about Joaquin’s performance which many are saying is generating Oscar-buzz, there’s one person that seems to be on the other spectrum of love.
Jared Leto aka Suicide Squad’s Joker.

Previously, it was reported that Jared was not happy over the recently released Joker and that he felt “alienated and upset” when Todd Phillips’ version of the crown prince was greenlit.
And now, new reports have surfaced that alleges that the actor had actually tried to stop production of the movie! Bear in mind thought that this has not been confirmed by any sources.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jared’s “frustration that Warner Bros. was moving ahead with the Phillips project was so great early on that he tried to throttle the rival Joker in its cradle.”
The publication goes on to report that those familiar with Jared’s behaviour claimed that he “not only complained bitterly to his agents at CAA, who also represents Phillips, but asked his music manager, Irving Azoff, to call the leader of Warners parent company. The idea was to get Warners to kill the Phillips film.”

A source close to Jared however denies that any of these requests were made and his music manager also declined to comment.
We smell drama in the air… But as for now, everything is just a “he says, she says” situation.
Do you think Jared really tried to get the Joker to stop production or is it all just a publicity stunt? Let us know your thoughts!
