Since Heath Ledger took up the mantle of the infamous Batman villain Joker in The Dark Knight, many fans have said that there could never be another actor who could play Joker as well as he did… until now!
The final trailer for the upcoming standalone Joker movie was just released and it shows how the mentally ill stand-up comedian Arthur Fleck was disregarded by society and turned into the villain Joker.
DC fans are freaking out by Joaquin Phoenix performance as the Clown Prince of Crime and how accurately he nailed the Joker laugh!
The Joker origin movie will be directed by Todd Phillips and will also star Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, Robert De Niro as Murray Franklin and Brett Cullen as Thomas Wayne (the father of Bruce Wayne).
“I think, underneath the excitement of these films, and the size of them, there are these incredible characters that are dealing with real life struggles,” Joaquin previously said.
“So I always felt, like, there were characters in comics that were really interesting and deserve the opportunity to be kind of studied.”
Fans are already saying that Joaquin’s performance in the trailer is Oscar worthy and possibly the next best Joker!
