Lara Jean Covey seemed to have met the love of her life in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, but it seems that Peter Kavinsky’s about to have some real competition in the form of John Ambrose McClaren.
As we all saw in the ending of the movie, John – who also received one of Lara Jean’s letters, shows up at her front door. So begins the interesting turn of events that’s guaranteed in the upcoming sequel.
Jordan Burtchett originally played John Ambrose in the first movie but now the role has been recast and fans are stan-ning the new addition.
Before the casting, Lana Condor – who plays Lara Jean, spoke to Cosmopolitan about the search for a new John.
“We’re looking long and hard into some who can match Noah’s charm and amazingness, which is very difficult,” she said.

Matt Kaplan, a producer for the upcoming P.S. I Still Love You stated, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Jordan Fisher join the To All the Boys family as John Ambrose McClaren. Jordan’s charisma practically leaps off the screen with anything he does, whether it’s acting, singing, or dancing. There isn’t a more perfect guy who could believably shake things up in Lara Jean and Peter’s world.”
