The original South Korean horror movie was directed by Yeon Sang-Ho and tells the story of a train heading towards Busan that’s being attacked and infected by zombies.
While the film was one of the best in 2016, it was only popular in the Asian market, so the remake will set to aim for a global reach.
James Wan’s Atomic Monster company will be producing the remake after New Line won the bidding war for the English-language remake right and is in the midst of finalising the deal.
