Marvel recently released their first female-led movie, Captain Marvel and the movie became the biggest global launch for female-led movie, with a $524million gross at the worldwide box office!
And now Marvel wants to make their first Asian-led superhero movie! The movie is titled Shang-Chi and will be based on a character of the same name from the Marvel comics!
Marvel Studios just announced that Destin Daniel Cretton, who has worked with Brie Larson three times, to direct the movie!
Shang-Chi is a Chinese martial artist and master of kung-fu that was trained to be an assassin by his villainous father, but chose to rebel against his father after learning the truth about his evil deeds and decided to be a superhero!
He is one of the greatest martial artists on earth and can break through iron with his chi (qi), even obtaining the power to duplicate himself at one point of his story.
Can’t wait to see who will be play the main cast in the movie! Hopefully this won’t be another Dragonball: Evolution or The Last Airbender…
