Get ready to bend and snap because Legally Blonde 3 is already looking to become another iconic movie!
And this time, the highly anticipated movie will have The Office’s Mindy Kaling and Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s co-creator Dan Goor on board to write the script!

According to recent reports, the two writers have officially signed on to write MGM’s Legally Blonde 3.
In case you didn’t know, Mindy and Dan both have a wealth of content under their belts with Dan having previously worked on Parks and Recreation and Mindy recently launching her own series, Never Have I Ever that’s been gaining much attention.

Now, the duo is set to take on a sequel of one of the most iconic comedies around!

Reese Witherspoon has confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Elle Woods who as we all know, famously proved her snobby ex-boyfriend wrong by getting accepted into Harvard Law School where she used her knowledge of hair and beauty to win a big legal case.

When news of the third movie was finally announced, early reports noted that the original Legally Blonde writers Kristen “Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah were set to write the script that would be “much in the spirit of the first film,” though “more about women empowerment”. However, as we can see, those plans have changed.
Deadline has reported that Mindy and Dan’s take on the new sequel “isn’t a makeover, nor are they doing touch-ups, rather their screenplay will have an entirely new fresh spin.”
We can’t wait to see what Elle Woods will be up to 17 years after we last saw her on the big screen! We hope she brings back the “Bend and Snap”!
