After news of Ben Affleck quitting his role as DC Extended Universe’s (DCEU) Batman, many fans were left wondering who could take up the mantle as the Dark Knight. Even Nick Jonas volunteered to take up the role.
News broke earlier today that Twilight’s Robert Pattinson could very possibly be casted as the next Batman, with sources reporting that Robert is currently in negotiations and is the top choice to play the role in Matt Reeves’s upcoming movie, The Batman!
And while Warner Bros. is determined to get the upcoming Batman right - following the disappointments in Batman V Superman, fans are not happy about Robert as the choice of being the Bat.
Fans have already begun multiple petitions pleading Warner Bros. to recast Batman, with petitions titled “Don’t make the Batfleck mistake again”, “Stop Robert Pattinson in Playing “The Batman” for Matt Reeves and Warner Bros” and more surfacing online!
Whoever that gets the casted in the end will play a younger Bruce Wayne that's still new to being Gotham City’s Dark Knight in The Batman that's scheduled for release on 25 June 2021.
