Godzilla fans, get ready for the ultimate monster showdown.

It's been four years since Godzilla and the direct follow-up to that movie is about to hit theatres on 31st May 2019! Godzilla: King of the Monsters is gearing up to be a voracious battle between some of cinema's most infamous monsters, as seen in the new trailer.

The trailer focuses on the impending showdown between good and bad kaijus. King Ghidorah - the three-headed beast; Mothra - a giant insect; and Rodan - a flying monster; are all ready to launch attacks on each other and we're here for it.

From the trailer, we can see that five years have passed in the upcoming movie and human civilisation is still trying to figure out how to coexist with these monsters.

Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown stars in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. At the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, the actress talked about all the difference between facing the Demogorgon in Stranger Things and the monsters in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

"It was very different from the Demogorgon," Millie said to Entertainment Weekly. "Eleven has powers, it's a lot less terrifying because she can just hopefully kill them. But this was on a much larger scale. I had neck problems because we were always looking up so high. So it was a larger scale, quite literally. The Demogorgon was just a tiny bit taller than me, and Godzilla and all the other monsters are a lot larger."
