It’s been almost two months since The Batman was released and since then, the movie has garnered well over $600 million (RM2.75 billion) at the box office and of course, a lot of fans are eager for another installment.
However, let’s take a peek back into one of the most exciting releases after the movie which is this deleted scene featuring Batman in Arkham Asylum meeting his one true enemy…The Joker.

Matt Reeves first tweeted a photo from the scene which then brings you to the rataalada portal set up by the Riddler in the film. Once inside, you must solve three riddles before you can watch the five-minute scene.
Warner Bros. released this deleted interrogation scene which featured Barry Keoghan who was credited in the movie as “Unknown Arkham Prisoner” but with his distinctive laugh, we all knew who he was without even putting his face on-screen.
The scene plays out in a Clarice-Hannibal dynamic between the two ill-fated men in which Batman consults the Joker on his investigation into the Riddler’s crimes.

Since the release of this deleted scene, Matt Reeves has given more context into how this version of the Joker is very much born out of the story he was trying to tell with The Batman.
“The thing about the movie is, it isn’t a Batman origin story but it is an origin story for every Rogues Gallery character that you come across.”
“Selina Kyle is not yet the Catwoman and the Penguin is not yet the kingpin and the character you’re referring to (The Joker) is not yet the character you’re referring to, but it is, in fact, him.”

Oh boy, looks like Matt definitely wants us to just sit tight and wait for the next movie to start solving this riddle.
Warner Bros. has not yet officially announced a sequel to The Batman but it seems likely that Matt and Robert Pattinson’s time in Gotham City is far from ending. With Barry tagging along for a new, yet atrociously sinister take on The Joker, it’s going to be fun for fans to anticipate the next installment.
