Train To Busan was released back in 2016 and it’s a scary, emotional, rollercoaster ride of a thriller! And the sequel is reportedly coming next year!
The sequel is titled Peninsula (or Bando in Koran) and will reportedly be released in August 2020, according to Naver.
Director Yeon San-ho said that he will not bring any of the original cast from the first movie back in the sequel and will feature a whole new cast!
The story will take place four years after the outbreak in the first movie and is focused on a new group of survivors.
The Battleship Island star Lee Jung Hyun and The Priest star Gang Dong-Won is the main cast of the sequel and will play two strong-willed survivors that will lead the peninsula’s military units… while hiding different motives.
Lee Re, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Min Jae, and Goo Kyo Hwan are also cast to play in the sequel.
James Wan will also be producing a Hollywood remake of Train To Busan, with Gary Dauberman writing the script!
