Though we may not be seeing the ninth installment of The Fast and Furious franchise in Malaysian cinemas just yet, the movie has hit big screens in some other countries.
Now, after recently announcing that the saga would come to an end with two more movies in 2024, Vin Diesel is talking about a musical.
Yes, a musical.
Currently on the press tour for F9: The Fast Saga, the actor appeared on The Kelly Clarkson to discuss the movie and the future of the beloved franchise.
When host Kelly Clarkson brought up the idea of going in a musical direction, Vin Diesel was quick to agree enthusiastically.
“Well, I’m dying to do a musical,” he said. “Yes, I would. I’ve been dying to a musical my whole life.”
But what would a Fast & Furious musical even look like, right?
Well, even the actor isn’t sure but he admitted that one of his biggest dream is to take on a musical role. He even revealed that he almost had that chance when he came clost to being cast in a classic musical theater show.
“I was this close to doing Guys and Dolls, with Steven Spielberg, and we ended up not doing that,” he said.
A Fast & Furious musical would definitely be… interesting…
But we have many questions. How would the cars be featured on stage? Would they actually race? What kind of songs would be featured? Who’d sing what??
What do you think a Fast & Furious musical would look (and sound) like? Let us know!
