Swifties, the new chapter has begun and it’s all about Taylor Swift.
Ever since beginning a mysterious countdown on her social media roughly two weeks ago, fans have been putting on their detective hats to try and piece all the clues that the singer released together.

Finally, TayTay gave her fans exactly what they wanted by releasing a brand new single titled, “ME!” featuring Panic! at the Disco’s Brendon Urie. And of course, a music video was released along with it.
This time around, it’s clear that Taylor’s Reputation chapter has ended, and a new, colourful era has begun.
Now, we’ve seen the video a million times now and we’re sure Swifties have been too as the video has reached over 10 million views in just two hours after its release!
But in case you haven’t had the time to pour over the video as much as we have, we’re here to give you the lowdown and all the Easter Eggs you may have missed in the “ME!” video.

1. The Dixie Chicks.
When the camera zooms in to the painting of chicks in sunglasses on the wall, you’ll notice one painting is not like the other. Instead of chicks, the painting coyly depicts the Dixie Chicks. As Taylor has collaborated with the Dixie Chicks before, fans are speculating that an upcoming collaboration with the group could make its way to TS7.

2. Lover
While Taylor sits atop a unicorn-gargoyle in a Rapunzel-esque tutu, a neon sign flashes the word “Lover” in the background. This could hint at one of her upcoming song titles on TS7 or… something else?

3. Two worlds collide
This one’s a little bit out there but we’ll still talk about it anyway. Towards the end of the video, you’ll notice an Emerald City-esque city pop up in the background. Upon closer inspection, you’ll also notice the U.K.’s Big Ben and the Parliament building nestled right next to the U.S.’ Capitol Hill.
Many fans think that this could be a nod to Taylor’s boyfriend, Joe Alwyn – who’s British. Some fans have even gone as far as to suggest that the couple could soon be merging their lives together. Could an engagement announcement be in the future for the two?

4. Chrysalis
Step back and take a real hard look at the entire music video and you’ll notice that everything seems to be encased in a sort of glass/diamond. Due to the singer’s recent butterfly craze, many fans are calling it a chrysalis, which is symbolic in itself.
This could symbolize some sort of metamorphosis that TayTay would be going through for TS7. According to Vulture, “the combination of a metamorphoses and rainbow theme seems to do the same, and having a rainbow penetrate a glass ceiling does seem like a hint toward a new chapter – a freer, more open one.”

5. New kitty?
In a pre-video Q&A on YouTube, Taylor wrote, “There’s a secret in the video I’ve been keeping in for months – let’s see who can guess it.”
Fans have linked this statement to the scene in which Brendon offers Taylor a kitten. Swifties have guessed that the singer’s big secret could be that she’s added a new kitten to her family!

6. Metamorphosis.
The theme for Taylor’s upcoming album seems to revolve around the concept of metamorphosis. In the first scene of the music video, a rose-coloured snake slithers and hisses as it makes it’s way. The snake then explodes into a swarm of rainbow butterflies. This definitely symbolises TayTay leaving her Reputation era behind and embracing a change, a metamorphosis if you will.
