It's been one week since Mac Miller's death and his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande has written a loving tribute on Instagram to her "dearest friend".

Ariana shared a touching video of the two sharing a quiet dinner and wrote, "I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen, and I always will." She continued, "I can't believe you aren't here anymore. I really can't wrap my head around it. You were my dearest friend. I'm so sorry I couldn't fix or take your pain away. I really wanted to. The kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. I hope you're okay now. Rest."

This is the first time that Ariana has addressed Mac's death in public. She had previously posted a black and white picture of the rapper with no caption.

We're sending our thoughts and love to all of Mac's loved ones.
