Lookout world, BLACKPINK is here to stay!
The K-pop quartet has reached a new achievement! As of 21st January 2019, BLACKPINK’s “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” has become the most viewed music video by a K-pop group on YouTube!
Speaking to Billboard, a YouTube spokesperson said that as of 22nd January, “with 620.9 million views, BLACKPINK’s ‘Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” is now the most-viewed music video by a K-pop group.”
Currently, BTS’ “DNA” holds the second spot with 618,9 million views.
Psy’s “Gangnam Style” video still remains the most-viewed video from a South Korean artist on YouTube with over 3.2 billion views.
“Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” was first released on 15th June 2018 and has averaged 2.5 million views per day, according to YouTube. As of now, the music video has over 627 million views and counting!
