2018 has been amazing year for BTS! And now, it looks like they've got an even more amazing 2019 to look forward to.
The South Korean group and their team have just hit a new milestone, a Grammy nomination! BTS have earned their very first Grammy recognition at the upcoming 61st Annual Grammy Awards. The K-pop group's Love Yourself: Tear album is up for the "Best Recording Package" award at the Grammys.
Love Yourself: Tear is nominated alongside St Vincent's Masseduction, Mitski's Be The Cowboy, The Chairman's The Offering and Foxhole's Well Kept Thing.
BTS have another reason to celebrate. Not only have the group received their first Grammy nomination, they are the first K-pop group ever to be nominated for a Grammy!
The K-pop group released their Love Yourself: Tear album in May and within its first week of release, the album hit the one millions sales mark. This was a personal best for BTS whose previous record was selling 758,263 of their Love Yourself: Her album.
As said by Billboard, BTS and their team's success at earning a Grammy recognition is a "further testament to the importance of the larger teams that collectively work together to bring not only high-quality music, but top-notch visuals and packaging that coincide with the larger themes represented by the music."
Do you think BTS will take home the 'Best Recording Package' award at the Grammy's next year?
