There seems to be some trouble brewing in Hollywood, and it all started with an unfollow.
Recently, Demi Lovato's fans noticed something amiss when they realised that the singer was no longer following Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas and Iggy Azalea on Instagram! But why? The fans could not answer.
Despite unfollowing her Camp Rock co-star, Demi is currently still following his brothers, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas. And although she has unfollowed Nick, Nick still follows her. However, according to fan sites, Demi had unfollowed Nick way back in June; so if you're thinking this incident was caused by Nick's recent engagement news, it's definitely not.

The singer has also stopped following Selena, her childhood friend whom she has knows since they were seven-years-old. Given the up-and-down nature of their friendship, this unfollow doesn't strike that much of a surprise. Selena actually started the unfollow-spree when she unfollowed Demi at the beginning of the year!

Demi didn't stop there. The singer also unfollowed one of her closest friends, Iggy Azalea! This one is especially noteworthy as the two are close enough that Demi was supposed to be a bridesmaid in Iggy's wedding to Nick Young that has since been cancelled. To be fair to Demi though, Iggy doesn't follow her on Instagram either…

A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight saying:
"She needs to surround herself with those that support her goals and to stay away from any negativity. Demi has come a very long way. She's grown emotionally and matured a great deal through this process. She realises there is no quick fix and has accepted the fact she needs to take this one day at a time. She still has a sober companion and she has built a very strong support group."

Many have speculated that Demi's "cleaning house" is connected to her comment on a fan's post that read: "True friends don't do interviews about you when you OD."
All three of her friends had spoken out publicly after Demi was rushed to the hospital for an overdose a few months ago.
Nick, at the time, had tweeted: "Like all of you I am reeling at the news about Demi. All of us love her and need to pray for her to get well. She is a fighter. #prayfordemi."
Speaking to Elle, Selena said, "I reached out to her personally. I didn't do a public thing. I didn't want to. I… I love her. I've known her since I was seven."
Iggy had also spoken to Entertainment Tonight saying, "I had known about it, as a close friend. So I had really wanted for her to be the one to tell people that. And I worried a lot, as her friend, that something was going to leak or somebody would somehow take that and use it negatively against her, or to make her seem like she's got a secret."

While we may never know the real reason as to why Demi unfollowed her close friends, we hope that she continues to get better.
