Make way! Ed Sheeran has revealed that he will soon be making his big-screen acting debut! The singer is set to play himself in Danny Boyle's upcoming film which imagines a world without The Beatles.
Written by Richard Curtis, the movie stars Himesh Patel as a musician who wakes up one day only to discover that he is the only person in the world who remembers The Beatles. In the film, Ed finds Himesh's character, brings him on tour and watches him turn into a superstar.

In an interview, Ed stated "and then I discover him and take him on tour. Then he gets much, much bigger than me through doing stuff. Yeah, it's very clever."
Unlike his previous cameo in Game of Thrones, Ed got to "actually kind of learn how to act." He continued, "With the Game of Thrones thing, that was literally me popping in for a day and making a cameo. But this was like full days on set, like full 12-hour days."

"It's very clever. They shot it around loads of my gigs. So it was a very intense two months. Because I would have four days of gigging and then three days of shooting a film. I was playing myself, so I don't think I was that bad. There wasn't much to [mess] up," he said.
Ed said that he hoped to continue working in Hollywood and would love to make a musical like the 2007 film, Once. "I want to make something like that," he said. "Something like that where songs dictate the film in a way. I can't see myself playing an Avenger, you know? I don't really want to be an actor."
