2018 has been an amazing year for Henry Golding. It's the year the actor made his mark in Hollywood, and the year he gained much more. To add to his impressive resume, Henry is now one of GQ magazine's 2018 Men of the Year!
Recently, the magazine revealed that the Crazy Rich Asians star is on one of GQ's four 2018 "men (and woman) of the year" covers! Henry joins Michael B. Jordan, Serena Williams and Jonah Hill as this year's honourees.
Not only does he grace the cover, Henry has created another milestone as the first Asian to be named one of the magazine's men of the year! And Asians around the world have noticed.
GQ names Henry as their "Star of the Year" and the actor was chosen as one of the four because of his breakout success.
"When Crazy Rich Asians hit theatres this summer, Hollywood held its breath waiting for the box office results, but anyone who know anything about… well, anything, could've predicted it'd be the smash it was," GQ wrote.
"Beyond its success - and what a success it was - it minted Henry Golding as one of the industry's must-hire new actors, and for good reason: He's handsome, he's suave, and that accent. A nation swooned, and GQ did too," the magazine continued.
Henry tweeted about the honour, thanking GQ:
And of course, Henry's Crazy Rich Asians family were quick to chime in with congratulations:
Well deserved, Henry! Congratulations!
