Before there was Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky, there was Lana Condor and Noah Centineo. Add a teaspoon of rejection and you'll get the story of when they first met.

Their chemistry on the amazing rom-com To All The Boys I've Loved Before is one we're all secretly dying to have IRL and the IRL friendship between Noah and Lana is one we're totally jealous of but can't help to love.

But the chemistry wasn’t always there from the start, well, according to Noah that is. "When we first met in the audition room before any of us had booked it, we were sitting waiting in like the lobby and I saw her and I was like, 'Hey, do you want to run lines?' And she was like, 'No.' I was like, 'Oh, that's cool, fine, I'll just die here,'" Noah recalled on E!'s Daily Pop. Ouch, that's gotta hurt a little.

A couple of months later, the two ended up at a chemistry read for their parts of Peter and Lara Jean and, "Then we just read together and it was... [perfect]," Noah revealed.

Noah was asked if Lana thought he was hitting on her in the audition room, and he had this to say: "I don't know. Maybe." To clear things up, he added, "No, I ask people to read lines in the audition room if they look nervous! I was just like, hey, I could always run my lines. It's always easier if you're running with a stranger before you do it with the casting director. It helps you get the nervous out. And if someone else looks nervous, then it totally is gonna help them too. If you can do it with some random person you just met, you can easily go into a room and do it again."

Isn't he just the sweetest? We'll take any version of Noah, rejected or not!
