Shawmila fans, before you get too upset, bear in mind that what were about to tell you is still just a rumour, and we’re still waiting for things to be confirmed.
According to a source, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are “taking some time apart.”

Speaking exclusively to In Touch, the source noted that while the two spent “months together” quarantining at the “Havana” singer’s home, Shawn decided to head back to California.
“The [original plan] was that Camila would go back to Los Angeles with him,” the insider said. “But they decided they needed to take a break from each other.”
Since the couple first made their relationship public in July 2019, they’ve been inseparable. However, though the two may be taking some time apart now, this does not mean that they’ve definitely broken up.

“Despite their busy careers, they’ve spent much of the past year together,” the source assured In Touch. “They were in love and were best friends – they still are.”
“The past year was a whirlwind for them and they supported each other so much,” the source noted. “Nothing really went bad between them, they just realised they need some time apart.”

The source went on to share that both Shawn and Camila are “working on new albums” and “need a little space to grow individually.”
Though it “was hard” for the pair to admit, the decision was made with the best intentions, the source noted. “They still talk and love each other.”
So breathe easy Shawmilla fans, there’s no official word that the couple have broken up and sometimes a little time apart helps to make a relationship stronger.
