It’s pretty natural for us to get a little stalkerish and obsessive when it comes to our favourite celebrities. We watch countless interviews of them, monitor what they wear, where they go, and who they’re with. We even wait for hours outside a concert venue in the hopes we get to meet them face to face.
However, it’s another story altogether to show up at their house, ring their doorbell incessantly, and continuously post creepy tweets about them. Right?
Now, that’s just a fraction of what Mohammed Jaffar, Taylor Swift’s long-time stalker, has been doing. Oh, he also broke into her home, and now he’s going to jail for it.

According to E! News, Jaffar pled guilty to attempted burglary and was sentenced to six months in jail, plus five years probation with mental health treatment.
Jaffar first started his creepy stalking on Tay back in December 2016. He showed up at her house and requested to have a sit-down with her, but was ordered to leave. He refused to take no for an answer and kept on showing up at her building for the next two months.

Finally, he was arrested March last year at Tay’s New York City home after showing up there several times. Apparently, he managed to sneak his way into the corridor outside of Taylor’s unit, and also onto the roof of the building in the middle of the night. He also rang her buzzer for an hour straight, before coming back the next day to do it again for another 45 minutes.
Besides trying to meet her in person, Jaffar also harassed her online and called Taylor’s management company 59 times between 27 January 2017 and 16 February 2017, demanding that they connect his call to her.

TMZ managed to unearth some of the tweets he posted about Taylor.

We’re glad he’s been caught, but this isn’t the first time Tay has had to deal with stalkers. One was with a man who was arrested for violating a lifelong restraining order the Swift family put on him after he had sent Tay’s dad some strange emails and tried to follow Taylor to an airport.
Taylor also had to deal with a man who was found by law enforcement officials with an “empty gun holster, live ammunition, latex and black gloves, a knife, masks, black rope and various prescription medication” trying to break into her Beverly Hills home.
And then there was that guy who broke into her New York home, took a shower and fell asleep in one of the beds in her apartment.
We’re crazy about Taylor Swift too! But like, maybe calm down a little lah, guys.
