Here's the ranking of the 10 most-viewed YouTube music videos in the first 24 hours before Ariana's "thank u, next" took the No.1 spot:

1. BTS, “Idol” – 45.9 million
2. Taylor Swift, “Look What You Made Me Do” – 43.2 million
3. Eminem, “Killshot” – 38.1 million
4. Blackpink, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” – 36.2 million
5. Psy, “Gentleman” – 36 million
6. BTS, “Fake Love” – 35.9 million
7. Twice, “Yes or Yes” – 31.4 million
8. Nicky Jam feat. J. Balvin, “X (EQUIS)” – 29.7 million

Ariana didn't just break one YouTube record with the release, she also set the record for most-viewed video that used YouTube's Premiere scheduling feature! For those unfamiliar with the feature - YouTube allows viewers to tune in to a new clip simultaneously and includes a countdown and group chat for its viewers to participate in.

According to YouTube, the premiere of "thank u, next" peaked at 829,000 viewers who were tuned in to witness Ariana's masterpiece for the first time. Arianators sent over 516,000 chat messages during the video's debut. The initial spike in viewers even caused a delay in the comments section!

"thank u, next" has also earned Ariana her very first No. 1 single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The singer is the first woman to debut at No. 1 since Adele released "Hello" back in 2015. The single continues to be an incredible success for Ariana!

From the first moment Ariana's Regina George from Mean Girls took over our screens, to the singer as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, Jenna Rink from 13 Going on 30 and Torrance Shipman from Bring It On, the video has been bending and snapping it's way to our hearts.

And it doesn't stop there. Ariana's "thank u, next" is continuing to blow up the internet and we're here for every moment!
