Remember when we found out that we were mispronouncing Arian Grande's last name all this time? Well, here's another name we've been saying wrong too! Chrissy Teigen.

The revelation came about after someone shared how she just found out how to pronounce Ariana's last name on Twitter. Someone retweeted the tweet and wrote, "You know how innocent you have to be to allow a world to pronounce yo last name wrong yo whole life and just go along with it?"

Someone else retweeted that and wrote, "Well we pronounce @chrissyteigen's name wrong all the time." To which, Chrissy responded with a "Word! gave up a long time ago. Last name is tie-gen not tee-gen."

But why have we been kept in the dark all this time? A Twitter user responded to Chrissy, saying, "But wait... when you say it YOU say tee-gen!" Chrissy replied and admitted that she hasn't helped the confusion.

Chrissy wrote that it's just a simple case of her not correcting people. "I don't correct people, ever. They can call me Janet and I won't. Wrong order? I'll eat it. Taxi going to the wrong airport? I'll change my flight," she joked.

In case you think she's lying about her last name, Chrissy has backup. Her mum, Vilailuck.

Before you start forcing yourself to pronounce "Chrissy Teigen" the way it's actually meant to be, we've got news for you! The model and host would actually rather you not.

Wanting to get it right, E! News asked what she would like to be called and Chrissy declared, "Tee-gen. Sorry, dad!"

So, in conclusion? It's Tie-gen not Tee-gen, but we can all go ahead and keep saying Tee-gen and no one would mind.
