K-pop superstar pop band BTS is closing out 2021 with some time off...

The South Korean group will take an “extended period of rest” to enjoy the holiday season with their families, which is said to be "the first time for them since their debut."

On Sunday, Dec. 6, the record label for the K-pop group, Big Hit Entertainment announced that its world-famous seven members will be taking some time off, although they did not specify exactly when their break will begin and end.

As reported by E! News, the label shared that this time off will also give the seven members - Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook - some much-needed time with their families. We don’t blame them, they’ve been working and travelling the world for quite some time!

"This period of rest will provide the members of BTS who have tirelessly committed themselves to their activities, a chance to get re-inspired and recharge with creative energy. It will also be the first time for them since their debut to spend the holiday season with their families," the statement read.

"We kindly ask once again that you show consideration for their need to enjoy ordinary and free, everyday lives while solely concentrating on themselves, albeit for a short while, during their period of rest."

Cheer up ARMYs... We've got good news for you! The band is said to be working on their new music. It will not be too far away!

"BTS will be focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will mark the beginning of a 'new chapter,'" the statement noted. "They are preparing for a concert this coming March to connect and communicate with the fans in-person in Seoul."

Nuh-uh, hold up, ARMYs! Not just that…

Each and every one of the members has now launched their own personal Instagram personal on Monday (Dec 6). Can you believe this? We’ve been waiting for so long...like FINALLY!

All of the accounts are verified by Instagram and in less than an hour, the members already gained 1 million followers, each! Naturally, the number is only increasing by the minute - INSANE!

BTS fans started getting suspicious when the group’s official Instagram account (@bts.bighitofficial)’s following list suddenly increased. Each member posted at least a photo on their respective accounts and they are all following seven other accounts – six of which are their fellow bandmates.

What a clever move from Big Hit Entertainment to win ARMYs heart after just announcing the band’s hiatus. Well, it worked!
