Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were recently diagnosed with COVID-19 while filming in Australia and many other celebrities have now been tested positive for the virus too.

Idris Elba is amongst the latest celebrities to have been tested positive for the virus and all these celebs have a message for the public.

Here’s a roundup of celebrities around the world who have been diagnosed with COVID-19. (Updated daily)

Tom Hanks

Whilst filming for the pre-production of Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley movie in Australia, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were confirmed to have been tested positive for the virus.

He also posted an update a few days later telling the public that they are in isolation to prevent spreading and are “taking it one-day-at-a-time.”

Olga Kurylenko

Former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko revealed that she too was tested positive for the virus and had been “ill for almost a week” with fever and fatigue before she was disgnosed.

Idris Elba

British actor Idris Elba took to Twitter to announce that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and had “no symptoms so far”. He said that he got tested because he was exposed to someone who had also tested positive for the virus.

“Look, this is serious you know. Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands. Beyond that, there are people out there who aren’t showing symptoms and can easily spread it.”

Kristofer Hivju

Known for playing the character Tormund, the Game of Thrones star revealed on Instagram that he was tested positive with the virus and that his family are “self-isolating at home for as long as it takes.”

“I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1.5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading. Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals,” he wrote in his caption.

Greetings from Norway! Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Corona virus. My familiy and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health - I only have mild symptoms of a cold. There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1,5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading. Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy! Please visit your country's Center for Disease Control's website, and follow the regulations for staying safe and protecting not just yourselves, but our entire community, and especially those at risk like the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions. @grymolvaerhivju #fightcorona #solidarity #takecare #folkehelseinstituttet Thanks to @panoramaagency
