News that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are expecting their first baby together took the world by surprise and Gigi herself has finally broken her silence on the pregnancy news!
The 25-year-old model confirmed her pregnancy during an interview with Jimmy Fallon as she happily gushed about it after the talk show host congratulated her on her first baby with boyfriend Zayn Malik.
"Obviously, we wished we could have announced it on our own terms but we're very excited and happy and grateful for everyone's well wishes and support,” Gigi said happily.
“We’re super happy now,” she added. The model who is currently on lockdown with her family and Zayn added that, “especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and together and really experience it day by day.”
Jimmy Fallon continued by saying, “congrats to Zayn too, tell him [that] if you guys need anything, call Uncle Jimmy. I'll make sure you guys are taken care of” which Gigi responded by saying “he’ll have the best Uncle Jimmy!”
Gigi recently posted her 25th birthday celebrations on Instagram with her family and boyfriend Zayn and revealed to Jimmy that her pregnancy “craving has been everything bagels” and how she cried after she found out that Buddy Valastro, the “Cake Boss” made her bagel birthday cake.
"I don't know if it was my hormones right now or just, like, quarantine emotional-ness, but I cried every five minutes for an hour every time I thought about that Buddy made my cake,” she said. “I couldn’t stop crying.”
Her birthday marked the second time Gigi has posted about her relationship in recent months on social media after she reconciled with Zayn Malik in December.

Gigi Hadid’s mother recently also confirmed the pregnancy news saying, “of course we are so excited. I'm excited to become a oma [grandmother] in September especially after I lost my mom so recently.”
"But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed."
