Miley Cyrus Dating Cody Simpson After Liam Hemsworth Split

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth shocked fans back in August when the 10 year on-and-off couple officially broke up after getting married in December 2018. And now Miley Cyrus took fans by surprise once again after she went Instagram official with Cody Simpson!

Australian singer Cody Simpson just posted an Instagram story with Miley Cyrus with the caption “pre swim breakfast courtesy of baby”, which made them Instagram official!

Earlier this week Miley Cyrus and the Australian singer were spotted having a date in Los Angeles and kissing before Cody "noticed people seeing them so they tried to rush out of there."

Miley then responded to the news by posting a photo of Cody Simpson on Instagram story with the caption, “22 [check] Australian (my type) [check] Abs [check], Hot Girl Fall [check].”

“I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning,” Miley wrote in another post.

“This dating thing is new to me too. I was in a committed relationship for almost all my teens and early 20’s, with the exception of a few breaks. I would like to share an activity with someone I am dating and not be stuck at home with nothing to do.”

“Please don’t make this awkward for me. I am trying to make light and like always make fun of myself... get used to me dating - this is where I am at!”

Miley and Cody’s friendship actually goes way back to where the two went on a group trip together in 2014 and became friends because of their shared experiences growing up in the spotlight.

A video of a 15-year-old Cody Simpson also resurfaced online with him saying he’s a big Miley Cyrus fan, “I knew all the words to her songs, I’m not going to lie.”

“I’m not ashamed about it, at all. I was a big Miley Cyrus fan. I think she will be forever the most dateable Disney star,” he added.
