The R&B singer recently teased fans about her new upcoming ninth album, saying that it is going to be “completely different” compared to her usual style of songs.

Rihanna has always been known for her hit pop tunes, and incorporating other genres such as dubstep, dance music, and reggae. Her last album release, titled Anti, came out in 2016 and won Favorite Soul/ R&B Album at the 2016 American Music Awards.
The 33-year-old singer teased fans that they should expect something very different for her next album, warning ‘whatever you know of Rihanna’s not gonna be what you hear’.

“I’m really experimenting and music is like fashion, you should be able to play. I should be able to wear whatever I want and I treat music the same way.” she told AP Entertainment at her latest fashion show for Savage X Fenty.
The singer added that she was ‘having fun’ and that the album would be ‘completely different’.
Fans have been anxiously waiting for her next hit to be released. Some impatient fans flooded her with comments on social media, telling her to put them out of their misery and release the album soon. I mean, we don’t blame you! We would do the same, LOL.

In her previous interview with Vogue, Rihanna stated that she didn’t ‘want [her] albums to feel like themes’ and would only put new music out if she ‘feel[s] it’ and it’s ‘just good music’.
