Chris Evans recently surprised a little boy that saved his sister from a dog attack and promised to give him a real Captain America shield.. and now Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland decided to surprise him too!
The 6-year-old boy, Bridger, rescued his 4-year-old sister from a charging German shepherd mix but suffered serious damage to his cheek and underwent a two-hour surgery that requires more than 90 stitches and said, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.”
Robert Downey Jr. decided to send a video message and even got something special for him saying, “Bridger, you’re a rockstar. I hear Captain America sent a shield your way. I’m going to do one better, you call me on your next birthday. I’ve got something special for you.”
His aunt wrote in the caption saying “we just celebrated Bridger’s birthday not too long ago, so it will be a while before we find out what the surprise is” but receiving a video message from a superhero icon definitely put a smile on Bridger’s face!
Spider-Man: Far From Home actor Tom Holland also video called the Bridger, who was dressed in a Spider-Man outfit and said: “I want to say you are so brave, mate.”
“We are all so proud of you and your little sister is so lucky to have someone like you. You’re such a brave little kid and it’s not easy what you did,” Tom added before revealing his surprise for Bridger.
“We’re going to be shooting ‘Spider-Man 3’ and if you ever want to come to set and hang out and see the Spider-Man suit up close, you’re always welcome.”
Mark Ruffalo also previously commented on the initial post saying, “people who put the well-beings of others in front of themselves are the most heroic and thoughtful people I know. I truly respect and admire your courage and your heart.”
“Real courage isn’t dominating people or fighting against people or walking around like a tough guy. Real courage is knowing what is right to do and doing it even when it might end up hurting you somehow. You are more of man than many, many I have seen or known.”
It’s definitely nice to see the superheroes gather to surprise the little real-life hero and hope he can fully recover as soon as possible!
