Selena Gomez has reportedly suffered an "emotional breakdown" in the hospital after being treated for a low white blood cell count. According to TMZ, the past two weeks have seen Selena being reportedly hospitalised twice.
Sources speaking to TMZ said that the singer first checked into a hospital in the last week of September when she was at her Studio City, California home. Due to the kidney transplant Selena received last year, her white blood cell count dropped alarmingly and she was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles for treatment.

She was released days later, but had to be re-admitted when her white blood cell count dropped again late last week. During this second visit, Selena allegedly wanted to leave but when the doctors wouldn't allow it, she spiralled into an "emotional breakdown".
Sources said that she had a full on "meltdown" and "freaked out" in the hospital and even attempted to rip the IVs out of her arm. Selena is now in an East Coast psychiatric facility where she’s receiving dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), which she has received in the past.

At the end of September, Selena announced that she was taking a break from social media. In an Instagram post, she wrote:
"Taking a social media break. Again. As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember—negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings. Obvi."
The singer has previously opened up about her struggles with depression and spent some time in rehab to take care of her mental health in 2014.
We're sending all our love to Selena!
