Going to the National Registration Department (JPN) might be a hassle sometimes because of the wait… but you won’t have to anymore in 2020!
Starting 2020, you will be able to apply birth certificates, MyKad applications, and marriage registrations online!
“In line with the advancement in technology, JPN is also taking a step forward to improve and enhance services provided to the people,” said director-general Datuk Ruslin Jusoh.
The services include applications for birth certificates, retrieval of birth certificates, 12-year-old MyKad applications, retrieval of MyKads and marriage registrations for non-Muslims.
You will only need to go to JPN offices to produce the original documents and collect them!
JPN is also implementing a system that can automatically register deaths.
“This means once a death is reported to the police, it will automatically register in our records through an online integration programme with them (police).”
No more waking up early and queuing anymore! What are your thoughts on it?
