Dragon’s beard candy, also known as “ggultarae” in Korea, is a kind of candy floss originating from China. It’s made by stretching and twisting strands of sugar until they become thin, like strands of hair.

These silky skeins may not look like fluffy cotton candy, but the texture is similar, and the good news is that you don’t need a cotton candy machine to make it. All you need is sugar, corn syrup, a little vinegar, some corn starch… and your own hands.
