It definitely sucks when someone steals from you. And most of the time, it's more of a nuisance than anything when you have to replace all the stolen items. This student lucked out though.

Recently, a university student had his laptop with all his work, stolen. The student then allegedly received an apologetic message from the thief himself who offered to send the student's work back to him!

Stevie Valentine, from Birmingham, England; tweeted about the incident that happened to his flat mate, he didn't expect it to go viral. He shared a screenshot of the email and captioned it: "So my flat mates laptop got stolen today, please pree what the thief sent him."

The thief tries to justify the situation by noting that he/she is very poor and "very, very sorry" for stealing the laptop. The email reads:

"Hello I am very very sorry for taking your laptop. I am extremely poor and needed the money. I left your phone and wallet so I hope that slightly makes up for something."

The thief goes on to offer his/her help to email all the work that the student might need, "I can see you are a university student. If there is any files on here such as university work on here that you need, let me know and I will send them to you here. Once again I am sorry."

Well, that's very kind of the thief to offer!

The Twitter-verse had their opinions on the theft as well.

Some speculated that the whole story was made up by Stevie or his flat mate!

Whether this whole story was made up or not, we're here for the laughs.
