Nara Park is a famous tourist spot in Japan, mostly because of the deer that roam the place. If you have bought the crackers specially used to feed them, they will approach you, and when you bow, they will bow back for food.
But if you’re planning to visit Nara Park anytime soon, park officials have urged visitors to avoid teasing the deer during feeding. A record 180 injuries were reported at the park in 2017, mostly from tourists bitten by angry deer.

The park has now set up signs at stands where visitors buy the food, telling them to give the food to the deer immediately, and to show their hands to the deer afterward to let them know the food is finished.
