Chen Sanyuan has been making headlines on Reddit for the last couple of months.
The 70-year-old uncle is famous for his pokemon-hunting bicycle. Each time a new phot of him appears on Reddot, the bike appears to be getting crazier. Currently, he has 11 smartphones – all connected to different Pokemon Go accounts – installed on the handlebar, and 9 power banks stored in a small basket.

Why so many powerbanks you ask? So that he can hunt pokemons for 20 hours at a time. Talk about dedication right!
Uncle Chen was introduced to Pokemon Go by his grandson, and he immediately fell in love with the game. He always enjoyed riding his bicycle through Taipei, but Pokemon Go also allowed him to make new friends and stay in touch with them through the app.

The more he played, the more he dedicated time and money to the game. Nowdays, he hunts for the Pokemons 5 to 6 days a week and spends around 10,000 yuan (RM 5,956) per month (PER MONTH?! How much is this guys pension money??) on both in app purchases and on equipement to upgrade his hunting vehicle – his bicycle.
If you aren’t familiar with the game, you might be asking “why does he need so many phones to play one game?”, well, because several accounts allow him to attack gyms without requirimg support from his friends. He just uses his high-level accounts (all his 11 accounts are minimun level 30) to get the job done on the spot (lone ranger uncle).

Uncle Chen plans to upgrade his arsenal to 15 smartphones soon, to make his pokemon hunting even more efficient.
Well, best of luck to you Uncle Chen! Do tell us how we can retire to play Pokemon Go like you all the time too!
