Do you love everything Korean, from their food and language to their KPop and TV dramas? Ever wanted to know what it might feel like to BE Korean? Well, you can almost have that now!
A South Korean software company launched a specific type of tour service for tourists in South Korea.
Oh My Oppa rents out “Oppas” to tourists, acting as their tour guides.
Lee Joon-woo, CEO of Winwincook, said in an interview that the service “started out as a joke that foreigners coming to Korea expect to find men like the ones they see on dramas, but no, there aren’t any men on the streets that are as good-looking, tall and nice as the TV stars.”

He added, “We thought we would present these tourists with men we can be proud of. Although it was a joke at first, we followed up with an actual website, and the social media reactions have been beyond our expectations.”
Currently, seven Oppas are featured on the Oh My Oppa website. They aren't professional tour guides though. Instead, they’re just really friendly regular Korean men, who are willing to assist tourists for a fee.

Among the services an Oppa will do for a customer includes cutting up your steak for you, take flattering photos of you, and offer compliments.

According to Lee, tourists that hire their Oppas mainly come from European countries such as France, England and Germany as well as Southeast Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia.
