As convocation season draws in, it’s definitely a task to come up with a super creative gift for your loved one. This one girlfriend took the task upon herself to come up the best and definitely most unique bouquet for her other half.
Culinary Arts Management student, Muhamad Adam Razali, recently graduated with a degree from UiTM and his girlfriend got him a bouquet made out of garlic to commemorate the occasion

Speaking to mStar, the graduate said that he was shocked but thoroughly amused by the interesting present.
“There was a day where I told my girlfriend that if she wanted to get me a present for convocation, I wanted something different instead of the cliché flowers and chocolates,” he said.
“During my recent convocation, I was surprised when she handed me a bouquet of garlic before the ceremony began,” he continued. “I never though that she would gift me something so ‘rare’.”

His girlfriend was inspired to get him the unique bouquet because of the graduate’s love to “membawang.”
Because he was carrying a garlic bouquet, Muhamad Adam gained a lot of attention from his peers and their family members.
“I think I was the only graduate that received a garlic bouquet at that time,” he said. “The others mostly got flowers and chocolates.”
“Everywhere I walked, there would be an aunty and a couple of friends that would ask me about it. There were a few that asked where I got the bouquet too,” he added.

Muhamad Adam’s friend, Hasnul Hisham Hasamuddin, noted that ever since they met during their time in matriculation, Adam has been someone who loves to “membawang.”
“Adam’s ‘membawang’ skills are not bad,” Hasnul said. “Whenever we meet, there’s definitely a lot to talk about. Our conversations could go on for hours! It definitely makes sense that he received the garlic.”
“He’s a lit bit crazy but when he’s in his culinary classes, he’s very disciplined,” he added. “That makes me respect him.”

And if you’re wondering what happened to the bouquet after the graduation ceremony, Adam said that he’s keeping it.
“I want to keep the garlic bouquet for memory’s sake,” he said. It wasn’t easy to get the garlic on the convocation day. It feels too precious to use because this gift is really unique. I’ll treasure it forever.”
Now that’s a really interesting bouquet! We can only imagine the smell! Do you know anyone who would appreciate a bouquet of garlic?
