This Famous AI System Has Been Spontaneously Laughing And People Are Terrified

Owners of Amazon Alexa have been scared out of their minds recently. People have been reporting that the AI system sometimes starts laughing out of nowhere – which is basically your worse AI nightmare.

One person was just about to fall asleep when he suddenly heard a “very loud and creepy laugh” from his Echo Dot.

Lying in bed about to fall asleep when Alexa on my Amazon Echo Dot lets out a very loud and creepy laugh... there’s a good chance I get murdered tonight.

Another guy said his Alexa started laughing while he was having an office conversation.

Having an office conversation about pretty confidential stuff and Alexa just laughed. Anybody else ever have that?

It didn't chime as if we had accidentally triggered her to wake. She simply just laughed. It was really creepy.

Then there was this guy, who was in his kitchen when Alexa randomly let out a bone-chilling laugh.

Some redditors also reported similar experiences with their Alexas. One person’s Alexa refused to let them switch off their lights.

If you consider that Alexa is constantly listening to the private conversations you’re having in the privacy of your home, that can already make several people uncomfortable. Now, imagine hearing them spontaneously laughing. It almost seems like these AI systems are planning to murder us in our sleep...
