Everything about Star Wars is iconic—from the visuals and the story to the sound effects. Especially the sound effects. And Ben Burtt is THE sound engineer. He’s the guy who created the sound of the lightsaber being unsheathed, Darth Vader’s ominous breathing, and the high pitch screaming of R2D2.
But, guess what? There’s another player in town when it comes to sound effects: Cardi B. Cardi B’s sound effects are so recognisable, they should be straight up patented.
Now, get out of here, Ben Burt! Because there’s an incredible fan-edited video, with Cardi B voicing a bunch of Star Wars characters. And yes, this is probably the best thing you’ll watch all day.
Can someone please get her a role in Star Wars already?!
