Malaysia has reached another milestone and it’s all thanks to our beloved, Nur Dhabitah Sabri!

The 19-year-old diver won the country’s first ever medal in the women’s 3m springboard final at the prestigious Diving World Series (DWS) in London, when she came in third in a field of six contestants.

Dhabitah accumulated a total of 344.40 points from five attempts and finished just behind gold medalist, Maddison Keeney of Australia who came in with 368.30 points; and silver medalist, Jennifer Abel of Canada who came in with 353.05 points.

The bronze medal marks the second medal Dhabitah has ever won at the DWS. The diver won a silver medal with Pandelela Rinong back in 2017 in the women’s 10m platform synchro.

According to The Star, Dhabitah “etched her name into history books as the first Malaysian podium finisher in the women’s 3m springboard individual since the DWS’ inception in 2007.”
