In case you missed the UEFA Champions League hype, Liverpool defeated AS Roma 5-2 during a match yesterday, and not surprisingly, Egypt-born footballer Mohamed Salah found himself at the centre of everyone’s attention.
The man, who was recently honoured with the Professional Footballers’ Association Player Of The Year title, is easily one of the best players in the world, and here’s why:
#1 No hard feelings for his former AS Roma teammates
Before being transferred to Liverpool, Salah used to play for AS Roma. Although he played against them during the match, he didn’t let that get in the way of their friendship. Never forget your roots, guys!
#2 Apologises after scoring the 4th goal
In a match against Watford, Salah scored a goal, sending the team to a victory with a score of 4-0. Following the match, Salah was seen shaking the hands of the goalkeeper and apologizing. What a humble man!
#3 Makes his fans’ dreams come true
As much as the fans love Salah, he loves them too! Earlier this year, he met an ill young fan, and made his dream come true!
Whether you’re on Salah’s team or not, there’s no denying that he’s a great all-around person that everyone loves.
