It’s April Fools Day and Google Maps is not letting this day of pranks just slide by!

As we all know, Google Maps helps to show you how to get around on foot, car, train and bicycle. In honour of April Fools, Google decided to add an extra feature into their app! And no, it’s not a prank!

Google Maps is going back to the days where there were only two or three games on our phones, and Snakes was all the rage. All you needed to do was guide the snake to its little food bit and avoid the walls or… the snake in question’s body.

Google decided to bring back the beloved game in the best way by adding their own version of Snakes into the mix!

And don’t worry, the feature will be available all week on Google Maps so you don’t need to rush right now to play the game! The game will be available to both iOS and Android users all over the world starting today.

Users can choose to slither to their destinations by selecting a city like Cairo, London, San Francisco, Sydney or Tokyo and pickup passengers or landmarks along the way.

All you have to do is tap on the menu icon on the top left corner, then select “Play Snake” and enjoy yourself with some old-school goodness!

For those of you who don’t have the app readily on your phones, Google even created a standalone website so you can play it on any desktop!

You can check it out HERE!

We know what we’ll be doing this whole week! What’s the longest you’ve ever played a game of Snakes?
