The idea to have more than two participants on a live stream is not a new one, in fact, users have been asking for it for years.
Now it looks like the social media platform is finally working to fulfill this request.
With the pandemic proving to world that social media platforms and video technology is incredibly important, it’s about time that Instagram expands its live streams.

According to reports, Instagram users will soon be able to hold IG Lives with up to four people per stream, and the new feature could be launched in the coming weeks.
“We have been working on live groups – finally,” Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri shared on Lilly Singh’s
A Little Late YouTube show.
“We’re releasing the ability to go live with more than one other person, so with up to four other people, in the next couple of weeks, which we’re really excited about,” he said.
At the moment, IG Live can only host two people at once and once Instagram rolls out its live groups, the social media platform will have the advantage of being one of the first to offer the ability to do live streams with multiple participants at the same time.
Instagram has already launched a test of its “Live Rooms” in India in December 2020, but it’s now ready to offer the feature to other countries.
