Pokémon Go became a global phenomenon when it was first released and allowed players to track Pokémons down in real life using GPS and AR technology… and now the world of Harry Potter will be getting its own version too!

The creators of Pokémon Go, Niantic and WB Games are officially releasing the location-based augmented reality game this Friday (21st June) and we can’t wait to cast our spells!
Niantic first announced the game back in November 2017 and after a long wait, the upcoming game finally released its gameplay trailer and witches and wizards are freaking out all over the world!
In the game, you’ll take on the role as a new witch/wizard recruit working for a group called the Statute of Secrecy Task Force that’s tasked to solve the mystery of the Calamity, a major event that scattered magical artifacts and creatures throughout the world!
Players will be able to explore the world for signs of magic and encounter magical beasts along with iconic Harry Potter characters!
Niantic posted several teaser videos leading up to the official launch, “recruiting” witches and wizards to help protect the wizarding world from being expose to the muggles.
