If you’ve been on your Instagram feed lately, you might have noticed a long text post that’s been going around on many celebrities’ accounts.
Like this:
The post claims that Instagram will be beginning a new rule in which the platform will be allowed to use any pictures that have been uploaded or messages that have been sent in court cases.
By posting the text, a user seemingly forbids Instagram from having permission to share any of the user’s photos of messages.
This text post however has been found to be FAKE.
“There’s no truth to this post,” said Instagram’s brand communications manager, Stephanie Otway.
Unfortunately, many of our favourite celebrities have fallen prey to this false information and have been posting the screenshot on their individual accounts.

Well, we’re here to reiterate that this screenshot and new “ruling” is definitely fake and if you know someone who has posted it, you should probably let them know too…
Have you ever fallen prey to a hoax or scam?
