The first Kuala Lumpur Major may be over but it doesn't stop us from reliving every moment of the tournament, especially Virtus.pro's big win!
The Russian team took the top spot of the first Major of the season, beating Team Secret in a five-game series yesterday. Virtus.pro earned themselves the RM1.47 million prize with their win.
Unfortunately, Virtus.pro's triumph denied a home win for Team Secret's Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng - the only remaining Malaysian player left in the country's first-ever Dota 2 Major tournament. MidOne was a crowd favourite and earned the loudest cheer and support throughout the game.
Although Team Secret had been the favourites to win the KL Major in Game 4 with their good early plays, Virtus.pro's "Ramzes666" managed to inspire a late comeback by outfarming his opponents with his usage of Terrorblade.
By being the first champions of the new Dota 2 Pro Circuit season, Virtus.pro regained their dominance in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). The team also secured 4,950 DCP points in the tournament, which will help them tremendously in qualifying for The International 2019.
Congratulations once again, Virtus.pro!
